#traveldrawings #gouache I spent a few heavenly days at @sterrekopjefarm last week revisiting beautiful spots where I painted on the farm 2 years ago. The beauty, quietude, stillness, calm and perfection of this place must be experienced to grasp this completely. I had a nostalgic week with my 2 daughters in #southafrica enjoying familiar sunshine, smells, culture, friendly people, sensational food while sharing a love for and memories of a country we left 30 years ago. Back home looking at my drawings again I relive those special hours here and there sitting in complete silence - the only sounds being the prolonged cooing of a distant pigeon and the occasional splash of a jumping fish in the lake in front of me.
